17. The Hound
This is it. You will probably never hear a funnier first acting story than the one Rory McCann, known as The Hound in Games of Thrones, has. The first real role he got in an actual Hollywood movie was as an extra and “Willow” back in 1988. However, he never got paid for the role and he didn’t even really finish the job. McCann got kicked off of the set because he was laughing constantly during takes.
What was so funny? Maybe he finds little people to be extremely hilarious, and if you are on set with dozens of them all around you, then we can totally understand. However, let’s be frank – laughing at little people is not funny, man.
Anything else of note? Well, he was in a commercial for Scott’s Porage Oats. In the advert, he was dressed in a vest and kilt. His acting career didn’t really star picking up, at least stateside, until recently. If you’ve seen the British comedy show Shameless, he played a priest in that one.
