10. Davos Seaworth
A major character in the second, third and fourth season of ‘’Game of Thrones,’’ Ser Davos Seaworth is played by the Irish actor Liam Cunningham. Believe it or not, the 53-year-old actor was an electrician in the mid 80’s in Zimbabwe.
While at work, he saw an ad for an acting school and decided to give it a shot. His first film role was as a policeman in “Into the West.” Sir Davos auditioned to play The Eighth Doctor on ‘Doctor Who,’ but Paul McGann got the role instead. He is best known for his roles in the films ‘’A Little Princess’’, ‘’Jude’’, ‘’Dog Soldiers’’, ‘’The Wind That Shakes the Barley’’, ‘’Clash of the Titans’’, ‘’The Escapist’’ and ‘’The Guard.’’
He shared a BAFTA award with the famous actor Michael Fassbender, for their short film ‘’Pitch Black Heist.’’ Liam is happily married and has three children. He lives with his family in Dublin.
