Like his girlfriend Diane Kruger who also found her way onto this list, Joshua Jackson suffers from an allergy or two. While Diane is allergic to candle wax and certain flowers, Josh is allergic to peanuts, and it nearly cost him his life.
As we mentioned, peanut allergies can be particularly severe and dangerous. It is estimated that one third of peanut allergies are fatal, which is a devastating number. No wonder they have entire schools that are peanut-free. But back to Joshua. In 2011, he was rushed to the nearest hospital after suffering a very severe allergic reaction to an undisclosed allergen. Considering the fact he is allergic to peanuts, it was assumed he ate something that had at least a trace of these nuts in it.
The star of Fringe and Dawson’s Creek was lucky they took him to hospital in time. Severe allergic reactions to peanuts can be successfully treated by medical professionals using antihistamines and epinephrine.
