8. Jesse Jackson managed to keep the secret for years
Jesse Jackson admitted to fathering a child in 2001 after being married for almost 40 years, that didn’t stop him from cheating on her. He is “The Daddy” to a daughter with Karin Stafford.
Reverend Jackson was trying to keep it quiet for a long time, but finally, the mother pressed charges against Jackson for failing to pay almost $12,000 in child support. At the time, the daughter was 12 years old.
Jackson and Karin Stanford met while Stanford was still in college, and at the time Jackson was married with five children. Stanford ended up becoming a professor at the University of Georgia and Jackson even offered her a job in the 1990s on his staff in Washington.
Curiously, Stanford got pregnant in 1998. She thought that she would never be able to have children because she had earlier undergone chemotherapy for breast cancer. However, she was able to conceive and it was Jackson’s baby, who she had a four year long affair with while working for him.
