7. John Edwards tried to deny things but the truth will always come out
John Edwards, the former senator was typically political and tried to deny all knowledge of a love child and an extra marital affair with Rielle Hunter in 2008, but admitted it a couple of years later. Not surprisingly, that signaled the end of his political aspirations and the end of his marriage.
The mother of the girl was a videographer that was working on his campaign at the time. Edwards was a presidential candidate even, but of course, this news ended any chances that he would be able to win the race.
Once he was uncovered, he gave an apology to everyone involved, in a typically political fashion once again. He said that he would love and support his new daughter, who was two years old as the time, and said that he would support her financially and hope that one day he forgives her for not wanting to admit that he was her father.
