This rather unexpected turn of events proved to be the end of the road for his marriage of 25 years to Maria Shriver. He admitted fathering a son to his former housekeeper many years previously but not until he had been well and truly found out.
This was a pretty big scandal for him, and even though his marriage did not survive, his career definitely did. Not only did his movie career make it through, but so did his political career. He was able to finish his term as the governor of California with no problem.
But it did end their marriage. It was found out that the Guatemalan maid was working for them while Shriver was pregnant with their fourth child. The two have broken up and they currently share custody of their two children who are still minors. The muscle man, however, said that his affairs are the biggest regret of his life and is very sorry for what happened.
