9. Stephen Baldwin
Alec, Billy, Daniel, and Stephen comprise one of Hollywood’s most notorious acting families, the Baldwins. And while each of the Baldwin brothers is very, very different, the family resemblance and talent among them is undeniable.
No strangers to tabloid news stories, each of the Baldwins has found themselves become tabloid fodder at one time or another. Unlike the rest of us, details about their personal lives tend to make headline news. No subject is off limits, including their political views. One of the more politically outspoken brothers is Stephen.
Stephen Baldwin leans in very much the opposite direction of his notoriously liberal and uber-famous brother Alec; Politico reported that Stephen backed the Republican nominee Mitt Romney in the recent Presidential election because he believed Romney would be better able to get the country back on track financially.
However, back in 2007, Stephen Baldwin endorsed Sam Brownback until he left the race, and then went on to switch his support over to candidate Mike Huckabee. Stephen Baldwin was then a staunch supporter of the McCain – Palin ticket after Huckabee dropped out of the 2008 presidential race.
When Baldwin threatened to move to Canada if Barack Obama won the election and has also challenged him to a boxing match for charity, the public was a bit stunned; however, neither of these things have actually taken place as of this writing. In June of 2011, Stephen Baldwin actually voiced the possibility of his entering the 2013 New York City mayoral race as an opponent to his brother Alec, who had previously said that he might run as well.
However, neither Baldwin brother ended up following through on these proposals. So far, neither Stephen nor Alec Baldwin has thrown their hat into the ring to have a run for a political office of any stripe.
