Halle Berry now has an Oscar and is one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood, but she went through her struggles as well before making it big. When she first moved to Chicago to start acting, she was staying at a homeless shelter on and off.
She ran out of money after making the move to Chicago, and Berry’s mother though that she would be making her daughter stronger by not sending her any money. Berry said that it did make her stronger and it made her want success more than ever.
She said that she learned how to live through any situation, whether she had to live at a homeless shelter or live very close to the poverty line. Berry said that these experiences and lessons made her into a personal that always makes sure that she gets what she wants and will stop at nothing to succeed.
