Carmen Electra actually saw some success before she hit rock bottom. She had just landed a great job. Carmen was one of Prince’s dancers and was making great money from the gig.
However, all of her money was stolen by an ex-boyfriend right as the gig with Prince ended. Electra was out of a job and didn’t have any money left either. This was while she was in her early 20s. She told the story of her ordeal, remembering that she was sitting on a park bench in 100-degree heat and crying.
She said that all she had was a pocket knife, a pager, high heels and some change in her pocket at the time. The funny thing about her story was that even though she was broke and on the street, she had a pair of Versace heels and some other very fine clothing that she had earned while working with Prince.
