11. Sean Penn
Penn is another one of those male celebrities that really hates photographers. He might be even worse than Baldwin and Crowe combined when it comes to assaulting people with cameras pointed at him. He has been doing this for a long time. Remember back in the 80s when he was getting married to Madonna? This was probably the craziest outburst of all time when it comes to actors and celebrities taking shots at photographers. Penn was literally taking shots. He took out a gun and started shooting at media helicopters that were hovering and flying above the wedding ceremony. If that isn’t crazy, we don’t know what is.
Penn was definitely at his worst during the 80s. By the end of the decade, he would amass a couple more attacks on photographers and a domestic abuse charge as well. But of course, it did not stop in the 80s. After that he has gotten into several more fights with members of the paparazzi. There is also a rumor, though it was never confirmed, that Penn once took a photographer by his foot and dangled him over a balcony threatening to let him fall.
In recent years, however, he has cooled down.
Penn has admitted that he was taken some anger management classes and that they have helped him greatly in finding his center and keeping his calm. But you never know when he could strike again.
So if you are a photographer in Hollywood, it’s best that you stay out of Mr. Penn’s way, just in case. There’s no telling when he might revert back to his old self and go back to assaulting people who try to take shots of him in public.
