Here’s one that no one expected. Witherspoon is seen as a Hollywood good girl that never gets into trouble, but we guess that there is a first time for everything. She was arrested in April 2013 while visiting Atlanta. According to the police report, Witherspoon was charged with disorderly conduct.

But in the end, she was not the source of the problem. She apparently was interfering with police officers that were trying to arrest her husband Jim Toth, who was driving while under the influence.

The cops pulled over the couple in downtown Atlanta when they saw that their car was swerving and that the driver looked like he was drunk. While the police officer on the driver’s side was talking to Toth and giving him a breathalyzer and other tests to determine if he was under the influence, Witherspoon got out of the car even though the police officers told her to stay inside.

She when threatened the police officer and said “Do you know who I am?” She then began to threaten that the police officers were going to find out who she was and that they were going to be on the national news. This was enough to Witherspoon arrested.

While she could not comment on the case, she did release a statement a day later. Witherspoon said that she definitely had a little too much to drink and that she was embarrassed by the entire situation. She said that it was a frightening situation and that she apologizes to the police officers for her behavior. So she is a good girl after all. She just had one drink too many that day, that’s all.
