6. Alexa Vega
The Spy Kids star hasn’t done much since then. Ok, that’s a joke; she’s had so many roles on and off of the small screen that we can’t list everything. She recently got married, and then divorced Sean Covel; the Napoleon Dynamite producer.
Alexa Ellesse Pena-Vega is the full name of this beautiful American actress and singer. She got fame for her role as Carmen Cortez in the Spy Kids film series, and for the role of Shilo Wallace in the film Repo! the Genetic Opera.
Vega was born in Miami, Florida in 1988, by a Colombian father and her mother, Gina Rue, a former model. Vega has six brothers and sisters, but most of them from her father’s and her mother’s side. She moved with her family to California from Florida, when she was four years old.
The now attractive young star married for the 2nd time. Her boyfriend of a year, Carlos Pena Vega proposed, followed by a 5-month-long engagement.
I bet you didn’t know this. On the set of Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams (2002), she got her first kiss at the age of 13. It happened with a young stuntman, and she had to call her mother to ask if it was OK. Her mother reassured her that it was all right.
She’s been working hard in 2013, and we know that since she made six movies: 23 Blast, Machete Kills, Bounty Killer, Wicked Blood, The Remaining, and The Hunters which will, or have been already released throughout 2013 and 2014. Vega also had a role on the Big Time Rush series finale “Big Time Dreams”, playing herself. During her career, she got 4 wins and 12 more nominations.
Vega had a main role in Aerosmith’s music video “Legendary Child.” Speaking of music, not only is she a successful actress, she’s an aspiring musician. She recorded three songs for various soundtracks while doing her role in the Spy Kids films. In addition to that, she released her debut single, “Isle of Dreams”, to coincide with the release of the second film.
