Jenny’s early career started with her role in Life with Lucy before the show was cancelled. She did have a few other roles on television before turning her attention to the music industry. She actually has her own very successful indie band called Rilo Kiley.

Born in a Jewish Las Vegas family of musicians, she had great opportunities to develop her music talent, since her mother, Linda, was a professional singer, and her father, Eddie, was a member of the Harmonica Gang.

The rock star became famous in a Jell-O TV commercial. In her second appearance on the small screen, she got the role of one of Lucy’s grandchildren in Life With Lucy. As the show was not aired for long, she continued having small parts but in memorable TV shows such as The New Twilight Zone, and Baywatch, respectively. She also made her appearance in The Golden Girls, Growing Pains, Just the Ten of Us, Roseanne, Mr. Belvedere, and Brooklyn Bridge.

Lewis was mostly cast for the TV, especially for the teen-themed series of movies, such as, Troop Beverly Hills, The Wizard, Talk to Me, etc. She did however appear on the big screen, in such features as Foxfire, Big Girls Don’t Cry… They Get Even, and Pleasantville.

Well, the talented kid seems to have more talents than just one for acting. She gathered a group of friends to form a band called Rilo Kiley, and recorded numerous albums so far, from 1999-2003. She released two solo albums as well, and took part in numerous music projects. Lewis formed a duo with her boyfriend Jonathan Rice, and currently plays as a part of Jenny and Johnny. Lewis plays keyboards, guitar, bass, and harmonica. Way to go, girl.
