Grey’s Anatomy’s really seen its share of jerks on set and we can almost imagine Shonda popping a couple of pills every now and then to prevent her nerves from going completely haywire. Isaiah Washington was also a diva on set, much like Dempsey, which would probably have him written off the series sooner or later, but his real douchebaggery came to full display when he threw homophobic slurs in front of his fellow actors and later denied it.
Namely, in the midst of an on-set argument with Dempsey, Washington called T.R. Knight a “faggot,” without a doubt using the term in a highly derogatory manner. The resulting fallout practically threw Knight out of the closet, forcing him to come clean about his sexual orientation in a way he definitely did not expect or take too kindly to. Washington has since denied saying such a thing, much to the disapproval of his fellow colleagues, especially Katherine Heigl.
