9. Adam Sandler
Although Adam plays the underdog in his films, he’s anything but a loser in real life. Rumors actually state that his fortune is worth over $1 billion. It looks like hard work does pay off!
On June 22, 2003, Sandler married actress Jacqueline Samantha Titone who converted to Sandler’s religion, Judaism, in 2000.
The couple has two daughters, Sadie Madison Sandler and Sunny Madeline Sandler.
He resides with his family in Los Angeles, but also owns houses in New York City and Florida.
His wealth is important to him, we guess, but he finds it could also help others. He’s known to give generous donations.
In 2007, he made a $1 million donation to the Boys and Girls Club in his hometown, Manchester, New Hampshire.
In the same year he donated $2,100 to Republican Rudy Giuliani’s presidential campaign.
His characters frequently wear licensed professional sports team apparel, based on the locale of the film. He’s a big fan of wrestling.
In the films he makes himself, the female characters often have names that begin with the letter V (Veronica Vaughn, Virginia Vennet, Vicki Vallencurt, Vanessa, Valerie Veran). We are not sure why that is.
His dog, Meatball, who also has a section on Adam’s official website, passed away due to a heart attack, at 4 years old.
The dog was the son of Mr. Beefy, the talking dog in Little Nicky. Meatball was also best “man” at Sandler’s wedding and was accordingly dressed in a tux, with a yamaka on his head.
He bought Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell’s Hollywood mansion after his wife Jackie Sandler fell in love with it at a New Year’s Eve party. Her best friend is Erinn Bartlett, Goldie’s daughter-in-law.
According to Forbes, Sandler was the second highest earning actor, along with ‘Leonardo di Caprio’, earning $37 million in the period of 2011-2012.
“To be honest with you, when I got into this I never thought about reviews. I never thought about what people would say about me. I was just a young guy who was excited to become a comedian and an actor and I just wanted to get to do what I got to do,” he said about his fame, life and expectations.
