7. CATHERINE ZETA-JONES
Catherine Zeta-Jones was born in Swansea, Wales on 25 September 1969, to Patricia, a seamstress, and David James Jones, a sweet factory owner. She appeared in over thirty movies and received many awards for her performances.
Catherine received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, BAFTA Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award and was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Musical for her role in just one movie, Chicago. Although it’s common knowledge that her husband fought throat cancer, it’s not as widely known that Catherine suffers from bipolar disorder.
Bipolar II disorder is characterized by at least one episode of hypomania and at least one episode of major depression. In April 2011, Catherine checking herself into Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut and sought treatment for bipolar II disorder.
