Everybody’s favorite narrator has a voice that sounds like he’s been through a lot and when you take into account that he’s suffering from a severe case of fibromyalgia, you can understand why he sounds like he’s in so much pain.
The condition is the result of a car accident that happened in 2008. The car Morgan was driving in flipped and rolled, leaving both him and his friend to be pulled from the car using the Jaws of Life. He underwent immediate surgery, which somewhat unsuccessfully attempted to repair all the nerve damage. Unfortunately, Morgan was left with a useless left hand.
Despite the constant pain that can, according to Freeman, turn to excruciating intensities, he says dealing with pain is not the worst part. For him, the worst part of having fibromyalgia is that he can’t pilot jets, sail, or ride horses the way he used to.
